I may be a new kid on the blo(ck)g but I have developed a lot of understanding of blogs and the blogging world in a very short time. I do not have much technical knowledge but I have gained a lot of insight by reading blogs, reading about blogs and observing the blogosphere.
I visit a number of blogs and have made many friends in the cyberspace (all of whom will be mentioned in my posts sooner or later). I often leave my comments on various posts and sometimes my comments are longer than the post when I am moved by the post (because I am an emotional man).
For all my blogging help needs, I visit One Cool Site (which is among the top results on Google or Yahoo when ‘WordPress blogging tips’ is searched).
One Cool Site is run by a middle aged, down to earth woman pen named ‘timethief’, living a simple rural lifestyle on the coast of British Columbia . She calls herself timethief because she ‘twice technically died and came back to life again; she stole her life back from the grim reaper of death.’
Timethief suffers from Fibromyalgia and seriously injured herself in August 2008 (the complete healing will take a year more) and yet her blog, WordPress forums and Blog Catalog are replete with instances where timethief is helping bloggers find their feet!
She has a heart of gold, needless to say. Timethief’s second blog on ‘personal development, growth and relationships’ is a goldmine focussed on mind, body, relationships, health, positive thinking and well being.
Yesterday timethief offered to publish my recent elaborate comments on One Cool Site as a guest post and made my day. Click here to read my piece on blogging tips. You may also read my comments on the post ‘how to form blog centred relationships.’
I am enjoying blogging! It has opened a wonderful dimension to the life of this introvert Indian! Apart from this primary blog, I also have two password protected, secret blogs which hold my emotional outpouring and letters to ‘S’ (unrequited love) that I could never actually write! I am also writing my first book (on Civil Services Exam/non-fiction) as blog posts on a private blog!
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! 🙁 If I and ‘S’ were together I would have gifted her a beautiful blog among other things! If you are not single, a brilliant gift idea would be to gift a blog. What say you?!
