Thanks Vikas. It is good to see all these rituals and celebrations though only vaguely related to Independence which Indians had won more than half a century ago from the British. It appears that the idea of India as a nation/society is receding into the background and this celebration seems to be progressively acquiring the from of other events, say Buddha jayanti, Kabir Jayanti etc. without people ever realizing about these figures or events. It seems history is defeating us again!

Hey vikas,
when most students (like me) can’t find time to attend even 1 designated flag hoisting, u hv made up by attending three in 1 day!! congrats man!

the pics r real gud. I liked seeing them. esp. the laddoos.

ur pictorial documentations r becoming so nice, they make me wonder if I will really miss JNU-event memories (when u r there to provide fresh imprints)
