Some places that you should visit for an interesting stay in Delhi (copied from some online forum on the web written by some Anne):
I think this information will be helpful to many outsiders living in Delhi. All these tours have one thing in common – they uncover a hidden aspect of Delhi, something which the guidebooks rarely talk about.
(1) Delhi Food Adventure – A food walk in Old Delhi. To be honest, I haven’t tried this yet as am scared of street food, but I’ve heard many good things about this tour. And its becoming harder to resist.
(2) Pottery Village Tour – Simply wow ! Never knew there’s a pottery cluster in Delhi, similar to Bat Trang in Vietnam. Good insight into the society culture. Very good experience.
(3) Delhi Heritage Walks/INTACH Heritage Walks – Both these organisations conduct similar Heritage walks mostly around beautiful ruins. Delhi Heritage Walks is more professional. I really liked the Mehrauli archaeological park walk. Also very cheap.
(4) Delhi By Cycle – If you know how to ride a bike, you shouldn’t miss this. Usually conducted in morning hours. The tour is great fun. They have three different tours. I took the old delhi one. (search ‘Delhi by Cycle’ in Google for their website and contact details).
