Sometime in mid-Feb a consortium of international publishers successfully drove library.nu to shut down operations and the website is no more there (which despite the immorality is a big loss to the international community).

So are there other book downloading sites like giga pedia and library.nu? You may read some suggestions on this post though.

There was one ebook30 but it is gone now. There are many general downloading sites like filestube and various other torrent and other sites.

It looks like the days of copyright violating sites may be numbered as global activism by corporations against it (including in India) is on the rise. And instances like megaupload shut down, library.nu and similar cases only bolster the view.

Hope some replacement for library.nu and gigapedia becomes possible sooner than later. At least that is what a vast majority of users across the globe hope for (however unethical it may be).
